Hard Hats & Hot Dogs Open house Recap

Last Saturday more than 65 supporters braved the rain in the heart of Jackson’s industrial center to visit and tour the original Hackett Auto Manufacturing Building prior to the launch of our construction efforts.

Our “Hard Hats and Hot Dogs” open house brought out our friends like Jackson Community Foundation and legacy members of pioneering automotive families — including members of the Byron J. Carter Auto Family, the Preston Tucker Auto Family and even Eva McGuire, the “Corvair Lady,” along with interested community members, families and car collectors.

We are so grateful for the enormous public interest in supporting the plan to transform the historic building into an educational museum, car collection rental space, and event venue! If you would like to be part of the Founders Society of Hackett Auto Museum as we begin to do the work and preserve this important hub of industrial age stories and artifacts for the Jackson, Michigan region please contact Executive Director, Ted O’Dell at info@hackettautomuseum.org and look for future updates on our events here!
